KLSNS Challenge #13 -Appreciate a Dragon Day

On KL Stampin N Scrappin blog, the challenge for Sat.Jan.19th was to create a card using a dragon or reptile stamp, or you can use projects resembling scales, etc. Click on title of this post to go directly to KLSNS blog. Apparently this is one of those weird holidays that happen every year on Jan.16th -appreciate a dragon! Who wouldn't have known???? LOL

While I don't own any dragon stamps, I do have a turtle stamp from Inkadinkadoo. They belong to the reptile family. So I made an alcohol ink background with turtle colours, and did a scalloped edge similiar to the scales on the turtle's shell. I also used crystal lacquer on the shell for dimension.

Adirondack Alcohol Inks: - Meadow, Ginger,Pesto, Stream, Expresso
SU Slot Punch (to make the scallop edge)
Inkadinkadoo Turtle & verse stamps from set "Humourous Birthdays"
Bazzill Chocolate, SU Olive, and SU Glossy paper
Sizzlet tag & narrow brown leather "ribbon"
Crystal Lacquer

  1. What a great card for this challenge . Your polished stone BG turned out really nice and compliments the turtle well . Like the scallop borders on both sides.
    Hope you win LOL

  2. What a super cute card Sharon! Your image is adorable and I love your detailing! Thank you for participating with the KLSNS Challenge, we truly appreciate it!
