Well, for the most part it was a quiet weekend. Julie and Jeff were here on Friday night until lunchtime Saturday. They left with Penny to go to Jeff's father's hunting camp on Brown's Mountain, Antigonish for a winter overnighter. It's quite cozy inside once the woodstove is fired up!
Today Peter and I went for a Sunday drive up Wallace way and I got to meet another Inkstainer, Keltie (Heather). She had ordered some SU stuff at my workshop, so I delivered it to her after a bit of driving around trying to find her rural route number.

Yesterday I made two cards for Inkstainers - one for Karie to cheer her up while in hospital.Inside the verse says, " Thought you could use a laugh to cheer you up!" The image is by Emmerson of American Arts which I coloured with watercolour pencils and used Crystal Lacquer to accent the lady's glasses, her coffee mug and the chocolates in the box.

The other is for Michelle's daughter's "Coming of Age". I was worried that the card might be too "dark" for a girl, but Michelle tells me that her daughter likes to read and mystical stuff, so it will suit her. Whew! I'm glad. I did polished stone for the background with Adirondack eggplant, silver, and denim blue, and embossed an image from Scottish Borders Stamps called "Angel of the Stars". I also embossed the same verse that's on the front of the card in silver on the back of the bookmark.

This makes 15 items now for Karie's Blog Challenge!
