Birthday card for friend

Well, it's been quite a while since I made something in my craft room. April flew by with home renovations  and a two week vacation in Florida. My friend's birthday happened to be while I was away so I made this card and took it over to her on Sunday afternoon. Better late than never, eh? LOL.
I also made a little paper purse to put her gift of earrings inside. The pattern is from the Cricut "Forever Young" cartridge.

The challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenge is "Cities of the World".  I dressed up the canvas mannequin (Tim Holtz die) with netting, flower rose ribbon and rhinestones and distress ink to give the theme of couture fashion in Paris. Stamped with distress ink on the patterned paper are french writing, the eiffel tower, glamour verse, the lady putting on her lipstick, as well as the wish verse on the tag. We can wish for anything on our birthdays!!!

  1. Wow, such a gorgeous card for your friend...I don't think she would mind one bit when she got it! Your colours are soft and feminine like the theme of Paris that you chose. And the lace threaded around your sentiment is a very clever touch.
Thankyou for joining us this fortnight for our Cities challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenges.
