Valentine Card

The challenge at Gingersnaps Creations is to do a faux technique:

I did Tim's "distress crackle" technique on the key to give it an antique look. First, I sponged Tea Dye and Pumice Stone on the image, then applied the crackle glaze. Once dried, I sponged Walnut Stain over the top of the crackle and on the edges. It's too bad I didn't take a close-up pic - looks neat!

All the stamped images - postcard frame, heart, key and verse are from a set by Tattered Angels, "Timeless Romance".

Also used were Spellbinders scallop and regular heart dies, fancy tag die, a TH Adage ticket, faux silk ribbon, heart embellie, machine straight and zigzag stitching,  Biscotti Perfect Pearl mist over the background, heart and lace, and Festive Berries, Fired Brick and Worn Lipstick distress inks.

For the "faux lace" at the bottom, I cut a strip of thin paper from a Martha Stewart edge die, and pleated it.
